Conferences

  • Self-advocates from all over Idaho should plan to attend the Idaho Partnerships Conference on Human Services on October 30 and 31, 2015 in Boise. This is the largest regional conference focusing on providing quality training to self-advocates, human service professionals, parents, and community members who support people with disabilities. Several speakers and trainers are self-advocates.
  • Self-Advocates Becoming Empowered (SABE) on October 8-12, 2014 in Oklahoma City, OK. You may now register for the conference. Several Idaho self-advocates and support people were selected to receive scholarships to pay for travel and lodging. However, if one or more is unable to attend, Idaho SALN would like to have more people on the waiting list so the scholarships can go to more people.   • SALN and the Idaho Council on Developmental Disabilitieshave sponsored Statewide Self-Advocacy Conferences. The most recent, Possibilities of All Abilities Conference, was held on May 21-23, 2013.
