April 1, 2019 By Idaho SALN Sponsors: Courageous Kids Climbing Attention! Parents and caregivers of children who may need accessible accommodations to climb a rock wall... Children with special needs will get the chance to challenge their limits and grow their abilities during a free rock climbing event at the University of Idaho Climbing Center on April 27, 2019. A FREE climbing opportunity for 20 children with special needs will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 27, inside UI’s Campus Recreation Center. Children with all types of physical disabilities, special needs, or learning challenges are invited to participate. Trained student volunteers will be on site to assist participants. Courageous Kids Climbing provides 20 children with the opportunity to spend the day climbing at the University of Idaho Climbing Center. Assistive technology will be provided. This is an inclusive event, and we will do everything to ensure each child has a SAFE and fun time! Space is limited and registration is REQUIREDby 5 p.m. April 20th.
