The 2021 artAbility Digital Showcase is LIVE!

The Center on Disabilities and Human Development (CDHD) is proud to feature the 2021 artAbility Digital Showcase!

The artAbility Project has wrapped up another year, which means it’s time to celebrate the participants and all their hard work. While COVID-19 continued to influence in-person workshops, it did not stop students and artists from coming together throughout the year to learn, participate and create.

All workshops were held online via Zoom, with local artists and Project Director Ernesto Marquez Montes providing instruction. Participants received pre-prepared kits with everything they needed to complete each project. Sessions focused on a range of artistic topics, from clay and texture to Native American culture and drumstick making.

The artAbility Project is a student-led program, supported by the CDHD, that encourages adults with disabilities to express themselves through art. This project year was funded by Stepping Stones, Inc and a generous private donor.

The 2021 Digital Showcase is now live. Check it out to learn more about the featured artists and their art!
