March 26, 2018 By Idaho SALN 2018 artAbility Showcase artAbility is a student-led project supported by the Center on Disabilities and Human Development. It was created to encourage adults with disabilities to express themselves through participation in art workshops with local art instructors and University of Idaho student volunteers. Over 150 pieces of art were created during six art-workshops in 2017-18. Select pieces will be on display to present the artwork to the public, as well as two percussion performances. Come to our 2018 Showcase at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 20th at the 1912 Center to meet the artists, see their artwork, and watch one of the special percussion performances! Everyone is welcome to join. Artwork and greeting cards will be available for purchase with either cash or check. Refreshments and Hors d'Oeveres are provided.
