November 2, 2023 By CDHD Tools for Life 2024: Registration is OPEN! Tools for Life is back for another year of secondary transition learning and fun! This year’s event will be held in Idaho Falls on March 4 and 5. Registration is now open! Click to register Students with disabilities and all those who support them are welcome to attend. Be sure to read the registration information completely before signing up to ensure your spot is secure. Tools for Life 2024 will be held at the Mountain America Center, and it promises to provide all attendees two days of learning, exploring and fun. You can expect national keynote speakers and breakout sessions that focus on key secondary transition topics. This includes employment, assistive technology, post-secondary education, independent living and self-advocacy – basically all the info you need to start planning life after high school. Students are encouraged to choose the sessions that are most interesting and helpful to them. There will also be designated sessions for family members/supports. An exhibition hall will be open throughout, with vendors and organizations promoting services, sharing resources and showcasing their products. Plus, the always-popular dance party will return, offering a chance for attending youth to socialize with their peers. Space is limited so be sure to sign up soon! Students local to the area (within approximately 150 miles of the event center) will be given priority for attendance, with a waitlist in place for those further afield.
