IATP expands services to Twin Falls

The Idaho Assistive Technology Project (IATP) has been busy working to make sure even more Idahoans have access to life changing assistive technology (AT)! This Project, which provides AT and other resources to older people and people with disabilities, opened a new resource center in Twin Falls.

The new center is thanks to a partnership with CSI Office on Aging. It will provide equipment loan services and hands-on demonstrations.

“The Idaho Assistive Technology Project is excited to partner with the College of Southern Idaho’s Office on Aging to expand our services in the Twin Falls area. This new assistive technology lending library space will allow more Idahoans with disabilities to access assistive technology devices and support in Southern Idaho,” said Mellowdee Brooks, AT Consultant and Statewide Lending Library Coordinator.

This pushes the IATP’s number of resources centers up to five – all positioned in key locations across Idaho:

  • Coeur d’Alene
  • Moscow
  • Boise
  • Twin Falls
  • Idaho Falls.

These centers are valuable resources, providing services and devices to those looking to gain more independence. Each center is staffed with a knowledgeable team of individuals ready to assist with just about any AT question.

These centers also offer lending libraries where people in need of AT can borrow equipment at no cost. The Moscow, Coeur d’Alene, Boise offices are also prepared to provide hands-on demonstrations of available devices. Demonstrations will also be available in the new Twin Falls office.

Appointments are required if you’re looking for AT, and Twin Falls is no exception. While open Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm MT, please call 208 736 2122 to secure a suitable time to visit the office and explore the AT options available.

The new IATP Twin Falls Resource Center is located at:

CSI Office on Aging
650 Addison Avenue West, Floor 4
