What to expect

Movement in the Park is part of the CDHD Healthy Active Lifestyles project. It’s a completely free, accessible exercise class. It’s open to all ages, abilities and fitness levels. The aim is to help participants meet the CDC recommended physical activity guidelines of 150 minutes of movement per week.

Each class is an hour long and features group exercise and activities in a fun and supportive environment. Sessions focus on working the arms, legs, core and cardio, with adaptive alternatives offered by our trainee instructors.

Isabella Gilmore will be returning to lead classes this summer. Emily Pearson and Sofia Bronaugh will also be helping out. Both are returning CDHD trainees. Get to know a little about them on the Healthy Active Lifestyles website.

Friday Adventures

This summer, we’re introducing a new twist to our weekly sessions. Each Friday, we’ll be offering a two-hour Friday Adventure, which focuses on exploring local outdoor locations. Each week will offer a new location, which will be announced by Wednesday of the same week via email.

For more information or to get on the email list, please email Isabella (igilmore@uidaho.edu). For more information about Movement in the Park, check out our website.

We hope to see lots of new and familiar friends this summer as we get our bodies movin’!
