Highlights

We were able to deliver outstanding results across our three core goals. Some of the highlights include:

Throughout the course of the year, we offered support to 26 trainees across a wide range of academic backgrounds. This included eight doctoral students and 18 undergraduate students.

Across all projects and goal areas, the CDHD disseminated 75 products to more than 450,000 recipients! 81% of those products were presented in alternate and accessible formats. And 51 of the 75 were created in FY22.

Our clinical and community-based services were able to reach 488 children, adults and families. Our faculty and staff offered 30 credit-bearing professional development opportunities to 180 participants. And we were able to provide 13 preservice courses with 30 students.

While two of our long-time core directors retired, we welcomed Dr Lanya McKittrick as the new director for the Idaho Project for Children and Youth with Deaf-Blindness. We are also in the process of hiring a new Director or Interdisciplinary Training.

The next five years

FY22 represents the fifth and final year of our current five-year plan. We launched our new five-year plan as of July 1, 2022. It available for download on the CDHD site.

We are looking forward to continuing to provide services, training and assistance for people with disabilities, families, professionals and local communities across the state.
