artAbility spring workshops

If the weather is anything to go by, spring is well and truly on the way. With it comes a new schedule of artAbility workshops!

Project Coordinator Areli Morfin has planned two music-themed workshops for the month of March, with the possibility of more to come.

The two confirmed workshops will take place on:

  • Sunday, March 5
  • Sunday, March 26

Lori Khan will be overseeing both workshops. Khan is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Music Education in the Lionel Hampton School of Music, with more than 40 years of experience. She will be assisting two University of Idaho music students as they lead the workshops, exploring the role that music plays in culture. Participants will listen to music from a different culture, learn dances and try their skills at playing different instruments.

“This spring, I am looking forward to reuniting with everyone and starting up again with artAbility. I am thrilled to be a part of these fun and exciting workshops where artists will get an opportunity to immerse themselves in music. It is a great way to wrap up this year!” said Areli.

If you’d like more information or to register your spot, please contact Areli at 208 885 6000 or amorfin@uidaho.edu.

You can also check the artAbility website as more details about the workshops will be coming soon.

We will also be releasing more information about the upcoming 2023 artAbility Showcase! Scheduled for April 17, it’s going to be another fun-filled evening of art appreciation for the artists and local community.

More to come!
