August 20, 2025 By CDHD Come see us at Palousafest 2026! The new semester is upon us and Moscow is already abuzz with students returning for another year. With the first day of classes just around the corner, it can only mean one thing: Palousafest 2026! Come see us at the annual University of Idaho welcome event on Saturday, August 22 from 5 to 7 pm. Our table will be located right on Sixth Street directly in front of Gem LLC at the Living Learning Community buildings. Meet some of our friendly staff and student trainees. In addition to fronting our table to hand out FREE swag, they’ll be offering up information about the Center and our many different projects. You can also get first-hand advice from our trainees about the CDHD Student Trainee Program. This program invites University of Idaho students from all academic backgrounds to come work with us. Oh, and in case you missed it, we’ll be handing out some pretty sweet swag this year! You don’t want to miss it. Stop by, say hello, and learn a little more about the Idaho CDHD. We can’t wait to see many familiar faces and meet even more new friends! What is Palousafest? Palousafest is the official on campus welcome-back event for University of Idaho students. It draws up to 5000 students and community members each year. If you’re new to the University, it’s a great way to familiarize yourself with what’s on offer – not just on campus but throughout the Moscow community and Palouse area. Hundreds of clubs, organizations, campus departments, local businesses and non-profits set up information tables to introduce themselves and their services to newcomers and returning students alike. Other highlights include live music, the University of Idaho marching band, and many different games and activities. For more information, visit the University of Idaho website.
