2022 Independent Living Conference

2022 Independent Living Conference

Get outside: 2022 Independent Living Conference

The 2022 Idaho State Independent Living Conference will be at the Clearwater River Casino in Lewiston, Idaho on September 14 and 15 from 9 am to 4 pm PT.

The two-day conference will cover services for people with disabilities and their families; however, all Washington and Idaho residents are invited to attend!

What to expect

This year’s event provides a chance for the disability community them to learn more about the different disability services and resources available, with a focus on making outdoor recreation accessible to everyone.

Participants can take part in workshops, learn about options for employment and education, make rural connections with other peers, learn leadership and advocacy skills and more. There will also be a resource and vendor fair, featuring service providers from around the state. This includes our very own Idaho Assistive Technology Project.

Keynote speakers include Todd Holcomb of Clearwater Trekkers and David Grassi, WSU Parasports.

Registration

Registration costs $45 per person. This includes admission for both days with continental breakfast and buffet lunch.

Scholarships are available to help with the cost. You may also apply for lodging assistance if you live outside a 50-mile radius.

Get all the details – including registration forms, the conference schedule, and workshop descriptions – on the DAC NW website.

This event is held in partnership with DAC NW, LINC, Life, Inc, and the Nez Perce Tribal Vocational Rehab.
