What to expect If you’re new to Movement in the Park, this program is part of our Healthy Active Lifestyles (HAL) project. It focuses on providing inclusive opportunities for people of all abilities to get their bodies moving in a fun and supportive environment. Classes run for approximately 30 minutes and are instructed by one or more of our CDHD student trainees. Participants complete different exercises or activities that focus on four areas of the body: arms, legs, core and cardio. The program was designed to help participants meet the CDHD recommended physical activity guidelines of 150 minutes per week. Exercises and activities range from dancing to active games that focus on specific muscle groups. Instructors also provide adaptive alternatives to meet the specific needs and fitness levels of all participants. No matter how you’re moving, our instructors work hard to make sure each class offers plenty of fun for everyone. Come and join in on the fun. Everyone is welcome!
