Get your gardening on!

Get your gardening on with NatureFit this summer!

You’re invited to join us in hitting the dirt this summer!

Healthy Active Lifestyles’s NatureFit Gardening is back. We’ll be learning, planting and growing with the University of Idaho Soil Stewards every Wednesday through the month of June.

Wednesdays, 9-11 am PT
Soil Stewards Student Farm

RSVP: Kincaid Moberly (kmoberly@uidaho.edu)

This is a great opportunity to get out in the sunshine and learn more about gardening. The benefits don’t stop there!

A day in the garden is a fantastic way to incorporate more exercise into your routine. You’ll be able to spend more time in nature, which helps to reduce stress. And, it’s the perfect opportunity to connect with friends. Adults of all abilities are welcome at this inclusive community event.

What to expect

You’ll be able to get your hands dirty as you help the Soil Stewards plant and harvest a variety of fruits and veggies. You’ll also learn more about sustainable gardening practices and certified organic farming.

For more information about the farm, visit the Soil Stewards page.

All participants should bring their own water to stay hydrated. You should also wear:

  • close-toe shoes
  • long pants
  • a sun hat and sunscreen.

Gardening gloves, tools and a bathroom will be available on site. Extra water will also be available.
