January 15, 2026 By CDHD 'Disability: let's talk about it!' coming January 29 We’re gearing up for another semester of artAbility, starting off with our ‘Disability: let’s talk about it!’ training session: January 29, 2026 from 6-7 pm PT Clearwater Room, Idaho Student Union Building (Moscow campus) Download our flyer Join us for this free, one-hour training at the University of Idaho Moscow campus. Hear from a self-advocate, who will discuss important topics such as disability etiquette, People and Identity First Language, and how to naturally support people with disabilities. This will be followed by a question-and-answer session and light refreshments. As mentioned, this training is totally free and everyone is welcome to attend! Natural supports and artAbility University of Idaho students who attend the training can also participate as natural supports in our artAbility program. This is a student-led CDHD project that encourages adults with disabilities in the Moscow area to freely express themselves through art. Throughout the year, we host several free workshops led by local artists. Each one focuses on a different medium, ranging from poetry and music to oil painting, clay and everything in between. Students can participate as natural supports, providing assistance where needed and working alongside self-advocates. It’s a fun and inclusive environment, providing positive, barrier-free social and emotional outlets for all who participate. Even better, we’re planning our first workshops of the new semester as we speak! Keep your eyes on the artAbility website for updates coming soon. In the meantime, we hope to see you at ‘Disability: let’s talk about it!’ on January 29! If you have any questions, reach out to Sofia Bronaugh (sofiab@uidaho.edu) or give us a call at 208 885 6000.
