What is Movement in the Park?

Movement in the Park is a free group fitness class instructed by our CDHD student trainees. It’s open to everyone, including people with disabilities. The aim is to help participants meet the CDC recommendations of 150 minutes of movement per week.

Each session runs for approximately one hour, offering group exercise and activities in a supportive and inclusive environment. You can expect exercise that focuses on working the arms, legs, core and/or cardio. Adaptive alternative movements are offered to suit every ability and fitness level.

Meet our instructors

You’ll see some new and familiar faces this semester, with Isabella Cox and Haley Sprague returning to provide instruction. Avery Zill will also be joining the team. Find out more about our instructors on the Healthy Active Lifestyles webpage.

What is NatureFit Adventures?

NatureFit Adventures is an outdoor exploration group. It offers nature-based activities in and around the Moscow area that focus on active living and outdoor skill development. Hiking, walking, fishing, gardening, nature exploration and more – each week offers a new location and new activity!

This program draws on the psychological and physical benefits of being outdoors and in natural environments. It focuses on accessible exploration, helping to ensure that people with disabilities have equal opportunity to reap the rewards of exploring the bounty of our outdoor areas.

This program is for everyone! All ages and abilities are welcome to attend.

If you would like to join, please email Isabella Cox (igilmore@uidaho.edu) to join our mailing list.
