Front and Center: spring 2026 is out!

Spring has officially sprung here in north Idaho, bringing with it the sun, flowers and our latest edition of Front and Center!

This edition of the CDHD quarterly newsletter covers February to April 2026, with news, awards, certifications, impact stories and more from right across our projects.

The Idaho Competitive Integrated Employment (ICIE) Center announced their second cohort for the Pathways to Partnerships program, and we’ve got all the details. Pathways to Partnerships brings together youth with disabilities, families, schools and key service providers to help ease the transition to life after high school.

The Idaho Tiered Behavior Supports (ITBS) has been helping implement Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports across participating schools in Idaho. We spoke with Summer Tigert, District Behavior Specialist in the Lake Pend Oreille School District, to find out more about how ITBS is supporting her schools.

Shout out to Sukha Worob and Melissa Crist. Suka was certified by the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP) as an Accessible Document Specialist. And, Melissa Crist won Top F&A Generator at the annual Office of Research and Economic Development Awards.

This edition also brought plenty of CDHD student trainee news, with Sofia Bronaugh (artAbility Project Coordinator) providing a sneak peek at this year’s artAbility Showcase, firsthand experiences from our trainees who took part in Disability Advocacy Day, and a catch-up with former trainee Avery Pierce-Garnett.

Looking forward, we have plenty of training, events and notable dates coming up. Click through to the Front and Center web page to check it out.
