May 18, 2022 By CDHD Sign up for 2022 Vandal Summer Academy The 2022 Vandal Summer Academy is back and will take place on June 19-24! This program is for students (aged 14-21) with disabilities who are interested in attending a two- or four-year college after high school. It is free to attend, with IDVR covering the cost. This year the Vandal Summer Academy will be in-person. Students will spend a week on the University of Idaho campus, participating in learning sessions and activities that focus on: career post-secondary counseling job exploration self-advocacy independent living skills opportunities for inclusion with student mentors. Each day, students will attend specially designed classes. They will sleep in a dorm room and eat meals in the dining hall. The program is designed to provide an on-campus college life experience.
